Stacey Irvine, 17-year old girl from Birmingham, has been eating only McDonald’s chicken nuggets since the age of two. The junk food caught up with her as she collapsed and was rushed to a hospital as she has trouble breathing. She was found to have anaemia and swollen veins in her tongue. She has warned by doctors that her diet is killing her.

Stacey, of Castle Vale, Birmingham, said: "I am starting to realise this is really bad for me.

"McDonald's chicken nuggets are my favourite. I share 20 with my boyfriend with chips.

"But I also like KFC and supermarket brands. My main meal is always chicken nuggets every day."

Mum Evonne, 39, is battling to get her seen by a specialist.

She said: "I'm at my wit's end. I'm praying she can be helped before it's too late.

"It breaks my heart to see her eating those damned nuggets.

"She's been told in no uncertain terms that she'll die if she carries on like this. But she says she can't eat anything else."

The only variation in Stacey's diet apart from fries is the occasional slice of toast for breakfast — and CRISPS.

She said: "I first tasted chicken nuggets when my mum took me to McDonald's when I was two. I loved them so much they were all I would eat.

"I just couldn't face even trying other foods. Mum gave up giving me anything else years ago."

Exasperated Evonne, a beauty therapist, has two other children — Leo, five, and Ava, three. Both eat healthily.

She once tried starving Stacey to get her to eat more nutritious foods — but to no avail.

Meanwhile her daughter's craving has sparked another headache — where to store all the free toys and novelties she has collected with her nugget meals. They currently fill four bin bags.

Belgian Photographer Frieke Janssen's new series of pictures called "The Beauty of an Ugly Addiction,"  are supposed to play on the attractiveness and vulgarity of smoking. The series with kids smoking cigarettes is repulsive and disturbing.

A YouTube video of a chainsmoking Indonesian toddler inspired me to create this series, "Smoking Kids". The video highlighted the cultural differences between the east and west, and questioned notions of smoking being a mainly adult activity. Adult smokers are the societal norm, so I wanted to isolate the viewer's focus upon the issue of smoking itself. I felt that children smoking would have a surreal impact upon the viewer and compel them to truly see the acts of smoking rather than making assumptions about the person doing the act. Coincidentally around the time of the "Smoking Kids" gallery opening, a law was passed, and smoking has been banned from Belgian bars. There was an outcry from the public about government intervention, feelings that freedom was being oppressed, and that adults were being treated like children. With health reasons driving many cities to ban smoking, the culture around smoking has a retro feel, like the time period of "Mad Men," when smoking on a plane or in a restaurant was not unusual. The aesthetics of smoke and the particular way smokers gesticulate with their hands and posture cannot be denied, but among the different tribes of "Smoking Kids," - Glamour, Jazz, and The Marginal - there is a nod to less attractive aspects, on the line between the beauty and ugliness of smoking. To assure you of the safety of the children, there were no real cigarettes on set. Instead, chalk and sticks of cheese were the prop stand ins, while candles and incense provided the wisps of smoke.Source: frieke.com

Alex Zukowski, 20, was arrested on Jan. 11 after North Branford police stopped his car on Foxon Road. After police detected an odor of marijuana coming from his car, Zukowski admitted that he had two Ziplock bags of marijuana inserted in his buttocks, according to police.

Police said he reached into his pants and voluntarily removed the two bags and told police he had more marijuana at his house where police later found Ecstasy pills plus 11 Ziplock baggies of pot and packing material.

North Branford police said on the same day they stopped a car on Foxon Road for suspicious activity. The driver of the car, Christopher Sanzari, of North Branford, admitted to police he had a plastic bag containing cocaine inserted in his buttocks. He was charged with numerous drug violations.

A 50-year old German man suspected of strangling his wife has a very weird explanation. He claims that their family dog, a Labrador, could have smothered his wife to death by accident.

The 50-year-old man was convicted of manslaughter after his wife was found strangled to death in their bathroom in Düsseldorf November 2010, the Süddeutsche Zeitung reported on Monday.

But his conviction was overruled by a federal court which said that the fact the woman was strangled for several minutes did not necessarily on its own mean she was killed intentionally, and now the case is being heard again – complete with a witness who is an expert on dogs.

The man’s lawyer said he and his wife had been drinking heavily on the night she died – he had a blood alcohol level of 3.4 parts per thousand when police arrived at their house.

He said the woman had fallen over in the bathroom and her husband had been unable to lift her up. He had given her a pillow and blanket and gone to bed, to find her dead the following afternoon.

Their 35-kilo dog must have smothered her, the lawyer argued, saying it was well-known that they sometimes kill their own puppies this way by accident.

The man said he only realised she had died at around 4 p.m., having got up, taken the dog for a walk and talked with his mother on the phone.

An Osaka department store came under fire after internet freaked about their "Fuckin' Sale" - a gaffe by the store. The sale's name were changed to "Fxxkin Paaack" to accommodate concerns over its similarity to the English curse word.

It’s funny how fast the internet moves these days–thousands have people have stopped by here in the past few days to check out the Fuckin’ Sale, and here it is, already fuckin’ over.

Well, actually the sale is still on until Monday, but I spoke with the people from Gallerie earlier today (hurray, my Japanese is getting better!) and apparently they’ve decided to take down the fuckin’ signs.

They also apologized for any offense taken over their hilariously offensive sign. Personally, I thought it was fuckin’ brilliant, but I suppose they’ve been getting rather a lot of press, and not the sort they wanted. Aw, well. Fuckin’ eh.

They’ve also cleaned up the website a bit, and it’s quite neutralized now.

It's a New Years tradition for Japanese retailers to put their overstock from last year into big grab bags and sell them at a discount. Fear not: After the attention Gallerie earned from its gaffe, we can expect to see 100 Japanese "fuckin' sales" in January of 2013.

Ganter was sentenced to a year of probation last January when he pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct. The Press Enterprise of Bloomsburg reports Ganter was charged after having sex with the animals and filming some of the activity at a farm in Main Township.

Probation officials said Ganter was otherwise a model of good behavior, paying fines and meeting his probation officer as scheduled.
